The ban on light: which lamps will remain on store shelves in 2020

In Russia, they cannot do without reforms. One of them, energy-saving, is aimed at the common population of our country. It seems that we, ordinary people, most of all use electricity for our own domestic purposes. We consume it without measure and all sorts of restrictions. We spend enormous damage on the national economy, especially with our uneconomical actions.

A new round of bans

In order to save, we decided not only to limit the energy consumption in numbers, as it has been to this day, to 75 kW per person, but to ban some types of light bulbs, which we have long been accustomed to.

Compact fluorescent bulbs are the first to be banned, with an ordinary socket under a standard electric cartridge. Before us, almost by force, we were forced to acquire and implement this miracle at home. Aggressive advertising recognized them as the most energy-efficient, and now they have become ineffective. Well, God bless them.

Second are banned low efficiency LED downlights, below 85 lumens per kilowatt. Such cylindrical long tubes, which are more often used in industrial premises than at home, where they are very inconvenient to use. They often beat because of their fragility and uncomfortable shape.

BUT the most harmful lamps containing high-pressure mercury are banned last. But here we should not worry. In the household, such monsters are used very rarely. More often they are used by the state and various organizations for street lighting. So let them worry.

Also prohibited are lamps with high-pressure mercury lamps used for outdoor lighting.

Surprise for organizations

From January 1 of the following year, the state prepared a surprise for its own organizations and for large business entities, such as house-management companies, housing and communal services and others like them.

All compact and tubular fluorescent bulbs are prohibited for use in general. To them will be added starters for fixtures in public places and premises at the factory, as well as all high-pressure mercury lamps. At the same time, high-pressure sodium lamps will also be banned, metal halides will be removed from the spotlights. All induction will go there too. And, to the heap - all lamps with high-pressure mercury lamps.

Such a restructuring awaits the national economy next year.
