How essential oils help in everyday life

Every housewife has a whole arsenal of all kinds of household chemicals, which are designed for a particular case. In fact, a few drops of regular essential oil can help cope with dirt and a bad smell.

This room is characterized by an unpleasant odor, sometimes emanating from a refrigerator or microwave. Getting rid of it is easy!

A small porous pebble or wooden block can be placed in the refrigerator door. All the magic here will consist of a pair of drops of lemon or lavender essence applied on top. After a couple of hours from the past unpleasant aromas there will be no trace.

In the microwave, for 3-4 minutes, put a bowl of water in which three drops of peppermint oil are dissolved. After this procedure, there will be a fresh aroma inside.

Orange and lemon can be added to the dishwashing detergent. So each sink will also give an antiseptic effect.

In addition, the kitchen is a place where you can cut yourself or burn yourself. For this case, it is always worth keeping an extract of tea tree, lavender and eucalyptus on hand. The first will help with cuts (you can drip them directly on the wound), and the second and third have healing effects from burns.

In your apartment, you can easily create the feeling of real mountain air. For this you need:

  1. Put 3-4 drops of lavender oil on a cotton wool.
  2. Suck up the fleece with a vacuum cleaner.
  3. Without turning it off after that, vacuum the entire apartment.

You can also refresh the air in the room by adding a little essence of cedar, lavender or bergamot to the water for cleaning. Thus, it will also be possible to disinfect all objects and the floor.

There is a very simple recipe to remove dirt and limescale from tiles, sinks, bathtubs and toilets. You will need:

  • 100 ml of warm water;
  • 15 ml of any detergent;
  • 15 ml of alcohol;
  • 20 grams of citric acid;
  • 5 drops of tea tree ether.

First, the oil is mixed separately with the detergent, and citric acid is dissolved in water. Then this both compounds are combined and alcohol is added. Now you can safely apply the resulting solution to a dirty surface. After 10-15 minutes, you just need to rinse it with water. After that, all microbes will be destroyed, and the plaque will disappear.

The most common use of oils is aromatization. To make the air around pleasant, just choose the smell that you and your family like. A couple of drops in the aroma lamp is enough for a huge room.

Small rooms freshen up even easier. For example, in a toilet or bathroom, you can leave a small pebble on a shelf with a drop of selected oil (just like in a refrigerator). After some time, the impregnation will evaporate, then the procedure can be repeated.

In a closet with clothes, you can put a small sachet in which dry flowers with oils of rose, lavender, mint, ylang-ylang and others are sewn. Before washing, you can drip essences onto some thing - the aroma will spread to all the laundry in the drum of the washing machine.

Also, an iron with a spray will help to create a subtle trail of natural perfumes. Similarly, by dropping oil into the water poured into a special tank, you can not only make the ironing process more enjoyable, but also create an individual delicate aroma.

It is known that a variety of poisons and insect repellents are very harmful to humans. This issue is especially worrying when there are children and pets in the house. In such cases, essential oils are saved again:

  • lavender, lemon - repels moths, mosquitoes, ants and other bugs;
  • peppermint - flies, mice and rats;
  • eucalyptus - cockroaches;
  • fennel - flea;
  • thyme - kills lice.

Based on this information, it is recommended to soak cotton wool or gauze with the necessary extract and leave it on the windowsills. For the targeted extermination of certain insects, it is necessary to make a solution of oil in water and use a spray to treat the place of their accumulation. If necessary, the operation can be repeated several times.
