How to make brick air conditioner

On hot summer days, everyone wants coolness in their home, but not everyone can afford expensive air conditioners from manufacturers. This is where interesting ideas for making homemade air fresheners come to the rescue. The result is effective, and a minimum of cash is required.

What will be required, besides brick

If we say that a simple building material can become an air freshener, then not everyone will believe. This is actually true. Brick will be the main detail in the air conditioner. For manufacturing, the following parts and tools will be required:

  • transparent plastic glass (plexiglass) about 50 * 70cm in size (you can size even smaller, the most important thing is that the brick fits there);
  • brick, the more holes on it, the better;
  • 2-3 coolers from a computer or laptop;
  • ordinary running water 1 liter;
  • thermal gun with glue, adhesive tape;
  • a screwdriver with a drill and a screwdriver;
  • knife.

How is the air conditioner assembled?

The process of assembling the air conditioner is quite simple and does not take a lot of time. The algorithm consists of several stages:

  1. It is necessary to prepare a container in which all the components of the freshener will be located. For this, you will need clear plastic glass. We measure a frame 5 cm wide around the perimeter. These are future walls, so on the sides they also need to be cut. The remaining rectangle is the bottom of the tank, and the walls are attached to it. At the corners we glue the walls with tape. To prevent water from leaking, all joints are treated with hot-melt adhesive. So the capacity for water, brick, coolers is made.
  2. Installing coolers is not difficult, it is much more difficult to find them. On one of the long sides, holes are marked and drilled to install coolers in an upright position. The wall needs to be cut so that the cooler can easily distill the air. For fastening you will need 4 bolts with nuts.
  3. To connect power to the cooler, you will need a 12 V block from laptops, as well as a socket where the end of the wire from the block is inserted. We solder a switch to this socket, then two coolers in series and back to the socket. When the switch and the unit are activated, both coolers must spin.
  4. We put the brick in a container and pour water there at a level of 1 cm. It is necessary that it is completely wet, for this it can be poured from a syringe.

Testing shocking air conditioning

After assembly is complete, you can test the air conditioner. When the brick was still dry, its temperature was about 30 degrees, the water temperature was 26 degrees. After getting wet and turning on the fans, the temperature of the air conditioner dropped to 16 degrees, and even later to 12 degrees. This temperature is more than enough to cool the air. The brick was cooled, the water evaporated, and the fans brought chills through the holes into the room.

Thus, a completely effective air conditioner was made of primitive brick and several parts. In the interior, he looks unusual, attracting attention to himself and causing interest. It should be noted that this air conditioner is also a humidifier, so you need to take into account the climate of the room where the freshener is installed.
