How to disable safe mode on the tablet

Recently, more and more various smartphones and tablets based on the Android operating system have been coming to the shelves of technology stores. Technique on this OS is valued, mainly for its wide functionality, convenience and affordable prices for it, as well as for the fact that thanks to the so-called “open code”, virtually everyone who has sufficient programming skills can create and modify programs for such OS.

The last “plus”, however, has its negative consequences, because as a result of editing system or software software, bugs and errors often appear in the OS, hindering proper operation. In order to somewhat protect their "OSes" from the abundance of poor-quality software and virus attacks, the developers are introducing into the modern manufactured devices a function of the safe mode on the android. So how to exit safe mode?

Safe mode on the tablet - for what?

In fact, the safe mode on the tablet is a system similar to that in computers running Windows. The main function of such a system: device diagnostics. Using safe mode allows you to:

  • Disable all third-party applications.
  • Deactivate unnecessary drivers for the system, utilities
  • Identify system errors
  • Evaluate how much the system speed increases in a mode that does not imply the “burdening” of the OS with widgets and additional software.

Important! In this mode, the device cannot be connected to the Internet.

As it becomes clear, such a function does not allow using the device to the full, and it is especially inconvenient when the user, once again launching his favorite gadget, is faced with automatic loading of the OS in safe mode.

How to enable and disable safe mode?

Most users simply turn off the device and then turn it back on, and, having waited for the OS to load, enjoy any functions of the gadget again. However, not always a simple reboot helps to solve the problem, and even after it, the device can start up again in the same mode. What to do if the safe mode is activated again?

Many, after the first unsuccessful reboot, try to disconnect the device again, pull the battery out of it, wait a while and run the tablet again. Sometimes it really helps, however, not all devices provide the developer with a simple design of the back cover, which provides for its easy removal. In this case, the following method may help:

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Turn it on, hold the "home" button until the full launch

If this does not help, you can try restarting the device in Recovery mode. This mode is present on most models with stock firmware from official manufacturers. If you again draw an analogy with a PC, this mode is something like a BIOS.

Important!Even if this function is not in the device, it can be launched using special utilities that are freely available on the global network, or from the OS itself.

In order to start Recovery, you need to hold the power and volume down keys when turning on the tablet. On some models, the volume up button may also work, also clamped with the power key. If these methods did not help, you need to refer to the official instructions from the manufacturer, and look for information about running there.

If everything went smoothly, then the user will see a console on which you need to select the “Reboot system” item. In order to navigate through the console items, the volume keys are usually used. If the user is interested in resetting the device to the basic settings, you must select the line “Wipe data / Factory Reset. In this case, you will have to wait until the device finishes the work on formatting files and starts up in normal mode.

Important! The last action should be carried out only if all other methods did not help, as it implies a complete cleaning of the device’s memory and returning it to the default settings.

If all of these methods had no effect, and the data in the device’s memory is important for the user, then it’s better to contact the service center, whose specialists will be able to return the tablet’s operating system to a fully operational state.

Why does safe mode turn on by itself?

Many users may have a natural question about why such a mode can run on the device itself without any confirmation from the user. In fact, the launch of BR can be caused by several reasons, among which experts distinguish:

  • Third-party applications downloaded from unverified sources
  • Malicious links or programs that integrate into the OS
  • "Experiments" with system files

From the above list it becomes quite easy to understand that in order for such problems to occur, the user will only need to use proven applications downloaded from official sources, not to follow suspicious links and not to get into the software “stuffing” of the device without appropriate skills. However, it is not always so easy to fulfill these requirements, and the most proven applications can sometimes fail, causing problems with the OS.

Is there a safe mode on the iPad?

Despite the fact that iOS, according to popular opinion, is more protected from problems with software, it is worth noting that developers of equipment based on this operating system also did not neglect the “Safe Mode” function. In the case of the constant forced inclusion of safe mode on Apple tablets, the user was asked to reflash the device with the help of special software from iTunes.

Recently, however, the “craftsmen” have written many programs that allow disabling the BR, removing all the problematic programs that caused its launch. It is not recommended to perform such operations without appropriate programming skills, therefore, if there is a problem with the BR on Apple tablets, it is better to use the service of warranty repair, or contact paid specialists.

As mentioned above, the safe mode is not only an unpleasant "problem" but also an excellent option in order to find out how much third-party applications affect the operation of the gadget. For example, if the tablet began to discharge quickly, to slow down when working or in its work there are a large number of bugs, then by starting the safe mode, you can understand what the cause of this or that malfunction is.

For example, if the tablet computer works without charging at times longer than with the launch and operation of third-party applications, then the latter are the reason for the rapid discharge of the battery.

Important! In BR, you can also remove applications that cannot be uninstalled in normal mode. This is possible because these applications are disabled when working in the BR.

If, on launching the BR, the problems in the operation of the device remain the same, then you can try clearing the cache memory, as well as the data of the most "problematic" applications, according to the user, or disable these applications manually.
