How to connect the second joystick to the PS3

Unlike computer games, consoles have their own control system. It consists in the use of special joysticks that are connected to individual ports in the housing on the front panel. The convenience of this type of control lies in the compactness, a small number of buttons used and their close position relative to each other.

3. If the controller was discharged, you will have to wait about 10-15 minutes to the desired charge level. When reconnecting to the console, the device will synchronize automatically after pressing the central PS button.
4. To enable the second controller to work, plug the USB cable into the second free port. Perform the same manipulations as with the first device. Everything should work, and the console will operate in multiplayer mode for two players.

IMPORTANT! In the 3rd generation of PlayStation platforms, controllers can work autonomously due to the built-in battery for up to 12 hours. Do not forget to periodically recharge it for quality control and interaction with the game.

We considered the native gamepad as connected equipment, but this is far from the only option. In addition to the original version of DualShock 3, you can try to connect other devices. Among the possible options consider the following:

1. Connection to the controller of previous versions of platforms. Execute difficult, but possible. With this method, you will have to install special emulators and purchase adapters for wires, since the cord and port for switching on the old models was significantly different.
2. It will be most easy to use the new versions of the Dualshock 4 from the PlayStation 4. They are almost the same as the previous version and are compatible with the console.

The use of pirated models does not always ensure good quality and does not correspond to the control modes of the original equipment.
