Tools and materials for a table from a furniture board

1. Jigsaw, hand or circular saw. It will be required for cutting the shield, and timber. Since wood is a fibrous material, it is advisable to have a tool with small teeth.

3. Drill, screwdriver. For fastening the legs and stiffener.

5. Screw-nuts, self-tapping screws. We will fasten the structure with these details.

Making a table from a furniture board with your own hands

Having prepared all the necessary materials and tools, you can begin to work. It is quite simple to make a table from a furniture board and there should be no problems.

After everything you need is conveniently located in the workshop, it's time to start:

1. Cut the countertop. First you need to measure the required length and width, draw a cut line. After that, carefully and slowly, cut the tree with a saw or a jigsaw.
2. We prepare the beam. It needs to be cut into 4 parts, 2 in length and 2 in width of the countertop. Cut an angle of 45 degrees along the edges of the timber. If there is a miter box - well, if it is absent, you will have to use a protractor.
3. Screw the beam with screws. To do this, it must be placed on the edges of the countertops so that the cut corners are joined. After drilling holes for screws, and fix the parts. The beam will not only give the best look to the table, but also make it stronger.
4. We screw the screw-nuts in the places of installation of the legs. First, we drill holes for them, then we screw in using a key.
5. We fix the legs on previously screwed-up screwdrivers.
6. Grind with sandpaper or a grinder. It is necessary to grind the product well. First coarse paper, then fine-grained.
7. We cover the table with varnish. For a better appearance, it is advisable to process at least 2 times.
8. We are waiting for the varnish to dry. The table from the furniture panel is ready.
