HR and VE are high quality foam rubber. Products with a filler of this brand have softness, elasticity, breathability and support the body in the correct position. The cost of this material is high.

The advantages of foam rubber are that it does not break into lumps and is hypoallergenic. The main disadvantage is its sensitivity to moisture, which subsequently affects its properties. This material, with proper care, can last up to 7 years.

Vata is a natural material that retains heat and makes the bed more comfortable. The main disadvantage of cotton wool is that various insects can be planted, which are difficult to remove. With careful care of the product filled with cotton wool, its life will not exceed 7 years.

To make a spring product at home, you should prepare:

fabric, batting;
filler;
spring base or standard spring block;
special glue;
felt;
threads, scissors, ruler, sewing machine.

To begin with, you should measure the sleeping place on which our product will lie, and cut out all its elements. Then lay out the filler layer, the felt layer on top, the spring base, again the felt layer and the filler layer. Around the perimeter of the product with glue, the sides are covered with inserts from the filler.

ATTENTION! Felt is used so that the springs do not spoil the filler.

Next, a cover is made. A pattern is made and batting is sewn to the fabric from the inside, but at the same time, lines should be made in several places so that the batting does not lag behind. Sew the details of the pattern, leaving a hole, so that you can later remove the cover from the product and wash. Put the cover on this design and the spring mattress is ready for use.

IMPORTANT! The case is best sewed from dense natural materials, such as: calico, cotton or linen.

Making a springless mattress

To make a springless mattress yourself, you need to prepare the following materials and tools:

filler, the thickness of which should reach 15 cm;
dense polyurethane, up to 10 cm thick;
coconut coir, for rigidity;
the cloth;
glue, scissors, threads, tape measure, knife, sewing machine.

IMPORTANT! The filler should be prepared with a single piece of cloth.

Making furniture for sleeping begins with collecting the box in which it will be located. Then we take measurements and, according to the given sizes, cut out the filler with a sharp knife, place the polyurethane on top of the same size. Coconut coir should be placed inside the filler, if desired. This design is placed in a box to check the correct size.

Next, proceed to sewing the cover. Having measured all the data of our mattress, we make a pattern from two parts. The main thing, when cutting, leave reserves on the side parts and seams (3 cm on each side). Stitch the pieces together, leaving a hole. Then put the cover on the filler and sew up the hole manually - it should not be removed. You can also sew a removable cover with a zipper, for further care.
