The principle of its operation is based on the use of a cathode ray tube. The first such devices appeared at the end of the XIX century, but they were a little like what we used to call a monitor now.

The necessary image is formed using the so-called electron gun, from where the electrons are sent to the display. A tube coated at one end with a phosphor composition is not wide and rather long.

Electrons fall on this compound, which causes them to convert energy into light. Thus, a wide color gamut is manifested, although it may seem relatively poor to those who are used to the incredible brightness of modern LCD displays.

In most cases, in such monitors there are only three colors: green, red and blue, and the rest of the color solutions are obtained by mixing these colors.

These colors are recognized as basic and it is believed that the eyes of a person recognize mainly them.

How to properly configure the monitor

Before proceeding to use such a screen, it still needs to be configured. Most often, buyers prefer to contact specialists who, using calibrators, will set up the monitor correctly.

IMPORTANT! Please note that such a setting is required only for CRT monitors, but not liquid crystal monitors, which are now used in the vast majority of modern devices. Such monitors are distinguished by their large dimensions, so they are easy to distinguish from thin and new LCDs.

First of all, pay attention to the screen resolution. This is important for the correct display of the picture and its clarity. It is important to know which resolution is right for each screen.
