A DIY gift is always a pleasure to give and receive. Since the coming 2019 year is the year of the Pig, in this article we will tell you how to make the New Year symbol yourself from improvised material.

DIY pig on a Christmas tree

• children's knit tights (yellow or pink);
• thread, the color of tights;
• needle, scissors;
• 2 small buttons;
• 2 black beads;
• filler for our toys (cotton wool, holofiber, etc.);
• a pen;
• cardboard, measuring 10 cm x 10 cm;
• invisible with balls at the ends;
• thin ribbon and a piece of tulle.

We cut off a piece from the tights, about 15 cm x 15 cm. From the bottom we make an incision, for legs and from the wrong side we sew both parts of the part. We get the torso and legs of a pig. From cardboard we cut out two small circles, about 2-3 cm in diameter. We turn this product upside down, insert cardboard circles into the pants and fill the middle with filler.

Next, proceed to the manufacture of the muzzle. From the pantyhose we cut a rectangle and from the seamy side make a seam, leaving a small hole for stuffing. We turn the workpiece to the front side, fill it with filler and sew up the hole.

We draw four points with invisibles, and with the help of a needle with a thread we form a muzzle of a toy: at a point marked with an invisibility, we introduce a needle with a thread, then we pierce nearby and pull the resulting small stitch. To fix it, we make a knot on the side where the needle is displayed.

A mouth can be made using thread. We sew a patch according to the principle of the muzzle, and we make the nostrils by the weighting method. To make the ears, we cut out two semicircles from pantyhose and sew them at both ends, then sew the ears to the muzzle.

We sew the front legs and sew to the torso. Sew on the head and eyes.

ATTENTION! If you plan to make a pig a girl, then you can provide the toy with a ribbon in your ear and make a skirt from tulle.

Christmas pig from dough step by step

New Year's pig from salty dough can be a great New Year gift:

1. To prepare the dough, we need: 100 g of water, 100 g of flour and 100 g of salt. After kneading the dough, put it in the refrigerator for a while.
2. From the dough to form the face of the piglet and piglet. Piglet on the muzzle and use the toothpicks to make nostrils.
3. Roll two small balls from the dough and stick them in place of the eye. Form the ears and attach to the muzzle.
4. Blind the heart and attach the bottom of the product. You should also make 4 holes with a toothpick, 2 from the bottom and 2 from the top for the strings.
5. Make from the dough handles and legs with hooves.
6. Place the resulting toy parts in a warm place so that the dough is thoroughly dried.

• calico;
• threads
• filler;
• vanilla;
• cocoa powder;
• granulated coffee;
• cinnamon
• scissors;
• PVA glue;

• acrylic paints.

Craft pig from wool

To make a DIY crafts out of wool, you need to prepare:

• wool yarn;
• chenille wire about 20 cm long;
• pink felt, measuring 10 cm x 10 cm;
• glue;
• black beads for the eye;
• a small button;
• thin ribbon;
• a sheet of cardboard.

To begin with, we cut out 2 rings from cardboard, with an outer diameter of 7 cm and an inner one of 5 cm. We cut the yarn by a meter and begin to wind it onto closed rings. The last layers of yarn will be difficult to push, so you can take a knitting needle to help you.

When everything is ready, carefully around the perimeter you need to cut the threads with scissors. Skip the thread between the rings and tie the pompom, remove the rings. The body and head of the piglet are ready.

Now we make the legs and tail of chenille wire, gluing them to the body with hot glue. Cut the ears out of felt, make a bow out of a ribbon and repaint the button in pink. Now, using hot glue, we attach the prepared parts to the pompom. The pig of wool is ready.

We sew a pig tilde

In order to sew a tilde, you will need a template that will help in the manufacture. An excellent choice as a material will be cotton or calico.

This craft consists of the trunk, legs and ears. Having cut out all the details from the fabric, we begin to sew them from the wrong side, leaving holes for the filler. Next, filling the inside of the pig with filler, we sew in the remaining holes. Sew the ears and legs to the body with a hidden seam, attach the beads to the eyelet and draw nostrils and blush with paints.

To make a ponytail you will need a wire and a piece of fabric. Insert a wire into the fabric, the tip of which is fixed with glue, sew the tail. The resulting tail is shaped like a spiral.

Felt pig

Pig from felt is done easily, but in order to start work you need to prepare:

1. Pattern made of thick paper.
2. Felt, igloo.
3. Threads.
4. Thick paper.
5. Black buttons and beads.
6. Pencil, crayon - for marking.
7. Glue.
8. Scissors.
9. Filler.
10. Ribbon, braid.

First, cut the blank from paper and fix the template to felt. Make a pattern on felt and cut it. Sew paired parts, leaving holes for the filler. Unscrew each part from the front and tightly fill with filler. Stitch the parts together. Cut the tail and sew to the body.

To decorate a funny pig, you can use a ribbon, and sew a braid as a pendant.
